Use Case: Enter Transport Assistance Application |
[UC001] |
Brief Description |
Allows the recording in STS of information contained on a transport assistance application that has been received from a caregiver via a school. The majority of the information was provided by the student's caregiver. The application is not processed until the school confirms that the student is enrolled, either currently or for some start date in the near future.
Each application is for only one student. If the caregiver has additional children requiring transport assistance separate forms must be submitted. To avoid duplicate data entry of caregiver and address details, a special use case preserves all of the previously entered information for the additional application(s) [A-1].
When the information is submitted, an attempt is made to link this application with an existing student in STS if there is an exact match on name and date of birth [A-2]. Finding a match does not change the submitted information, but does record the existing internal identifiers for the student for future reporting purposes.
NOTE: There are no decisions to be made, nor additional details required from the service agent during this use case. All information being recorded has been submitted either by the caregiver or the school.
